PLTI parent leaders Jacob Schwartz and Marisol Montero are participating in the BikeWalkKC Community Transportation Academy. PLTI parent leader Leah Maugans was a guest speaker and shared the process of getting a crosswalk in her neighborhood, which led to the development of a crosswalk policy for all of Leawood. We love seeing parent leaders from different come together on shared passions.

According to 2017 estimates, workers in the KC metro can access only 1% of area jobs via transit in a 30 minute commute. What does that mean for families? For employers? For the region's economy?
