If we know anything about our Western North Carolina community, it is that together we will overcome any obstacle. Our hearts go out to everyone who has been personally impacted by Tropical Storm Helene. We are incredibly grateful for our first responders and citizens who jumped into action to help our neighbors. Many of you have reached out to our employees and their family members to check in and offer support. We have all been buoyed by your thoughtfulness and generosity. The path to recovery will be long, but for now our teams are working to connect those in need with the proper assistance. Below are links to two resources: an interactive map showing the location of various essentials in the Ashville area along with a list of organizations that are actively accepting donations. Thank you for keeping our community in your thoughts during this challenging time. https://lnkd.in/e5d2rMaT https://lnkd.in/eHhbUW6J

About us
A diverse company devoted to thoughtful growth and the economic well-being of our mountain home, Biltmore Farms, LLC has been a community leader in Western North Carolina for over a century. Founded by George W. Vanderbilt in 1897, today, Biltmore Farms, LLC continues his legacy of quality across all the company’s divisions: Biltmore Farms Commercial, Biltmore Farms Communities, Biltmore Farms Homes, and Biltmore Farms Hotels. Biltmore Farms has evolved from the region’s largest independent dairy operation to a preeminent community development firm. Today, Biltmore Farms continues its reputation of regional leadership through forward-thinking accomplishments such as the creation of Biltmore Park Town Square, the largest and most diverse mixed-use urban village in Asheville. Our company has designed some of the region’s most beautiful and viable master-planned communities. We are committed to preserving the natural beauty of the Blue Ridge Mountains through our community involvement and business practices, including the construction of the Hilton Asheville Biltmore Park, the first new construction LEED-certified Hilton hotel in the country, featuring a large-scale rooftop solar water heating system. In addition, Biltmore Farms’ portfolio of nationally award-winning hotels carries on the Vanderbilt tradition of gracious hospitality.

What a show! The local community turned out in numbers this past Friday to see the first concert in our “Concerts in the Park” series at Biltmore Park Town Square. “Mission Accomplished,” a local cover band comprised of Mission Health employees, brought down the house. Halfway through their set, the band surprised the crowd by presenting the Asheville Area Habitat for Humanity with a $1,500 check to support its ongoing efforts to build affordable housing. Thank you to all who attended, and thank you Mission Accomplished for your generous donation. We’ll see you at the next show on August 9th! This month we celebrate the heritage and contributions of Asian American and Pacific Islanders. To mark the occasion, Highland Brewing Company released a special rice lager, named "Xie Xie." The brew's formula was perfected at a gathering that brought Asheville AAPI community members together, including our very own VP of Human Resources, Carol Nguyễn Steen. Read more about this collaboration, then head on over to the Taproom for a pint! https://lnkd.in/ekJW9MRg

Today’s leaders must prioritize connecting with and empowering the next generation to foster interest in the community and its future. I saw this most recently during a panel hosted by the Asheville Area Chamber for the Young Professionals of Asheville. Alongside regional players, including Pratt & Whitney and Buncombe County Government, we spoke with these future leaders about the importance of community development and collaboration.
