What if we told you attention is your most valuable marketing asset... When we read this, we laughed. Baffled, we went into explanation, closed-minded—only to realize we were the fools. Attention is more than capturing views…it’s about creating meaningful connections in the brief moments we have with our audience. But this is easier said than done. It takes time, intention, and creativity. To get the most out of this asset, you must consistently create content that is valuable and engaging—sharing stories that connect to your dream customer on a personal level. We’ve been creating content like this for over 10 years, and what this has taught us is that the essence of storytelling hasn’t changed. It’s the strategy and the platforms we use that evolve. We continue to refine storytelling because attention is fleeting, but impact can last. If you’re looking to capture attention and use it as your best asset, we’d be honored to stay connected. Let’s be real: when marketing and sales teams don’t align, the message you’re sharing isn’t connected to the product or service you’re trying to sell. Collaboration is key, so bringing these two teams together ensures a smoother customer journey and better results to scale your business. Because even though, yes – marketing generates the leads, it’s the synergy with sales that nurtures relationships, drives conversions, and fuels sustainable growth. Click play now to hear from Brandon Bingham on the importance of alignment, collaboration, and creating long-term success.

Marketing advice you need to hear - There are two types of distribution channels: Diminishing Return Channels and Compounding Channels. ➡️ Diminishing return channels are channels you pay for like paid ads, SEM, and sponsored content. ➡️ Compounding channels grow stronger over time (with consistency!) like social, podcasts, and SEO. Here’s how they work and why you need both. Diminishing channels offer quick, impactful results, but their effectiveness diminishes over time. The more you rely on them, the more you’ll need to spend to keep the same momentum. But compounding channels deliver more return the longer you invest. This is how you build lasting, sustainable growth. A successful marketing strategy blends both to create short-term wins and long-term value. One thing that remains true–there is no one-size-fits-all formula. There is no perfect solution. The only thing you can control is your effort. So stay consistent, keep testing, and adapt as you go. Success follows persistence. Are you more focused on building quick results or long-term value?

We help a mix of clients create monthly social calendars that fit their business needs—electricians, CPAs, towns, and insurance companies. To ensure success and comfort, we focus on making content easy to produce. (And—to be very clear—showing faces does work better in the algorithm, but we get it—getting people to be on camera is easier said than done 😅) When we build social calendars, we create content categories, define the goals of each post, provide direction on how to craft a reel, photo, or graphic, and supply hooks and CTAs for the caption. We hope these faceless b-roll ideas inspire you to create reels and show up consistently for your audience. So here’s our question for you today: Do you struggle to post reels?

We asked Erin (our Director of Business Operations) 5 words that describe Bing Bang to achieve one of two things: 1 - We won’t miss an opportunity to talk about our one-of-a-kind brand 😉 And 2 - Highlight how defining words that describe your brand can guide every piece of content you create. Can you list 5 words that describe your brand RIGHT NOW? It’s not easy! There are times when we want to throw in a few extra adjectives. Bold. Passionate. Chaos. But we simply come back to what truly aligns with who we are and the solutions we provide. And that’s not going to be for everyone. And that’s okay. Our job isn’t to attract everyone. We want to attract those who can smell what the Rock is cooking. People who like your vibe and want to know what’s for dinner. Your objective with your brand’s keywords is for them to be your North Star for creating content. Every piece of content has the ability to deepen a relationship and create a warmer lead. So let’s continue to create. How would you describe your brand in 5 words?

You know, the longer we work in marketing, the more we see how everything is connected. It’s like the gears on the wall at the Science Center of Iowa—without one gear, nothing moves. You need all the gears working together to drive a campaign. Clients usually come to us with one need—often a video project. But as we dig deeper, we uncover a bigger story. We want to bring this idea to life. Brandon Bingham has known Todd Chambers, co-owner of McKay Group, for 10 years, but he’s really gotten to know him the past 18-24 months when they asked us to shoot FAQ videos for their Silent Sports Insurance Program. That was the initial ask—simple, straightforward. But the fun began when we shifted from marketing conversations to business conversations. These conversations can take weeks/months/years to find the (right or wrong) answers to. Eventually, you find yourself in a strategy meeting, mapping out tactics to get your gears moving. Research shows it takes 6-8 touchpoints with a brand before a customer invests. So, campaigns need a multifaceted strategy to frequently expose people to your brand. With McKay Group's Care Beyond Coverage campaign, our goals were: - Raise awareness that Todd and Scott Ziller are the owners - Highlight their support of local communities - Increase brand awareness by showing they're more than insurance providers Where did we start? By creating a landing page—a home base for the campaign. While we built that, we launched an SEM campaign, ensuring McKay appeared in top search results. With a big part of the legwork done, the next phase began—monitoring analytics and adjusting. Digital marketing isn’t “set it and forget it.” We constantly analyze to maximize the budget. That said, it can't do all the work. The best campaigns are supported by consistent, thoughtful organic content. Start by defining three things you want your company known for. For McKay Group we focused on community involvement, personal insurance insights, and business insurance insights. We showcased this through email marketing—an unsexy but effective way to communicate to people familiar with your brand. It lets you share insights, updates, and behind-the-scenes content, just like on social media. Here’s what we did to boost McKay’s social presence: 1. Updated cover images and bios 2. Posted content 2-3 times a week 3. Gathered data to improve over time This all boils down to one thing: taking messy action to get results. It’s easy to not take action and wait for everything to be perfect, but you don’t need everything figured out to start. The most successful campaigns are born from action. To stay relevant, you need to take risks, even if mistakes happen–they’re another gear on the wall. Today, we challenge you to take messy action. We believe your business is worth showing to the world—flaws and all. When all the gears move together, that’s when the real results happen. To taking a step back and watching the gears turn, Bangers

This pre-roll video 5X the manufacturing industry’s average clickthrough rate. (Quick explainer: pre-roll videos are short ads shown before a video starts playing on desktop, mobile, or tablet devices, and clickthrough rate measures how often people click on your ad after seeing it) Just this video alone was shown to 98,753 individuals working in manufacturing. It outperformed all counterpart videos that used sound bites from interviews instead of this script format. This taught us how to create a clear message in a powerful way. What a gift.
