We’re thrilled to announce that Dr. Alex Nikulin, Associate Professor of Earth Science at Binghamton University, has been named a 2024 recipient of the prestigious Binghamton Excellence in Entrepreneurship and Discovery (EXCEED) Seed Translation Research Project (STRP) award! 🎉 This award includes $150,000 in funding and personalized mentorship to help bring innovative ideas to market. Dr. Nikulin's groundbreaking project focuses on creating a cutting-edge drone and ground vehicle system to detect and mark unexploded ordnance in conflict zones. By improving the speed, safety, and reliability of land clearing, this technology will make a powerful impact in enhancing safety for residents in conflict and post-conflict regions.
