About us
Established in 2011 by a group of postdoctoral researchers at Stanford University, Bio-protocol aims to improve research reproductivity by sharing and discussing life science research protocols. Bio-protocol journal is a peer-reviewed protocol e-journal publishing high-quality life science protocols, and it has been listed by PubMed Central and Web of Science. Bio-protocol also runs a sister database, called Bio-101, which is an open platform for sharing protocols as well as asking and answering questions. Bio-protocol has built tight collaborations with several high profile research journals/publishers including Science/AAAS and eLIFE to advance their mutual goal of making the scientific literature more efficient and reproducible.

Measuring Piezo1 and Actin Polarity in Chemokine-Stimulated Jurkat Cells During Live-Cell Imaging: https://lnkd.in/gr-8Maw2 Work by Chinky Liu, Parijat Biswas, and Dipyaman Ganguly at Indian Institute of Chemical Biology and Indian Association for the Cultivation of Science. Congratulations to the team for being featured on the cover of our latest issue! #Reproducibility #LifeSciences #Immunology

On the cover ✨: The image shows the trajectory of a Jurkat T-cell expressing actin-GFP (in "red" LUT) and Piezo1-mCherry (in "cyan hot" LUT) treated with 0.1 µg/ml of SDF1α. The white arrows depict the displacement vectors of the cell's morphological centroid, and the red and cyan arrows represent the direction and magnitude of actin and Piezo1's polarized distribution, respectively. The displacement vectors of the cell are for representation purposes only, to highlight the utility of the image analysis code.
