Thrilled to have attended Tides USA this year, where insights flowed as freely as the enthusiasm among peers! A special shoutout to Kavitha Sudheendran for her outstanding poster presentation which garnered much well-deserved attention. It was a privilege to connect with so many wise and innovative scientists. These interactions are invaluable and I'm grateful for the shared knowledge and new perspectives. Looking forward to applying these insights and continuing the conversations #TidesUSA #BioTechnology
About us
Bio-Synthesis is a biology contract manufacturer of high-quality nucleic acids, peptides and other molecular biology products for the research, diagnostic and therapeutic industries. Bio-Synthesis operates an ISO 9001 certified facility and is compliant with 21 CFR 210/211 and 21 CFR 820. Our solutions help advance drug discovery and bio-medical research. Founded in 1984, Bio-Synthesis is a privately held firm based in Lewisville, Texas. Custom Peptide Specialists Bio-Synthesis has been a provider of Peptide Synthesis services to the life science research community since 1984. We offer a complete range of premium quality peptide products ranging from bulk API polypeptides to high throughput library peptides and peptide array preparation. We also provide a large number of peptide modifications as well as peptide synthesis for diagnostic and therapeutic applications. Bio-Synthesis specializes in both, liquid phase and solid phase fmoc peptide synthesis chemistry. We have a long-standing record in preparing biologically active polypeptides including long, complex and hydrophobic peptides synthesized to your specifications. Custom Oligonucleotide Specialists As a pioneer in oligonucleotide synthesis, Bio-Synthesis has been pursuing the development of new oligonucleotide-based techniques that can produce compounds with superior binding affinity and chemical/biological stability. As such, Bio-Synthesis has introduced a third generation of nucleic acid analogs, Bridged Nucleic Acid (BNA). These are RNA analogues which can be synthesized and spiked with DNA or RNA in order to modify the formation of nucleic acid helices.

Synthetic antisense oligonucleotides can modulate RNA function, influencing gene expression levels, exon skipping, and epitranscriptomics. However, understanding the function of various RNAs and the proteins they interact with can take time and effort. Antisense technology promises to deliver therapeutics for treating diseases by targeting RNA. Bio-Synthesis offers a comprehensive suite of technologies to enable your RNA research and help answer these critical questions. Klaus D. Linse, Ph.D.

Here's update: For treating ALS (amyotrophic lateral sclerosis), this oligonucleotide (antisense) drug (called Qalsody or tofersen) developed by IONIS pharma (San Diego) and BIOGEN (Boston) targeting SOD (superoxide dismutase) enzyme was approved by FDA last year (2023) . https://lnkd.in/gd7gKeuA

No medicine is made by a single person. It’s a collaborative effort and often builds on the discoveries that came before. That is especially obvious when we hear from some of the scientific community’s greatest contributors, like Nobel Prize laureate Dr. Jennifer Doudna at the Innovative Genomics Institute. She recently joined our Chief Scientific Officer Dr. Dan Skovronsky for a conversation around “Making the Impossible Possible” and discussed her CRISPR journey. One thing was apparent from the conversation: For our work to make the biggest impact on people living with diseases, collaboration is key.
