Kudos to all involved in this exciting collaboration!
For over four years, I've been quietly running Senstream. I'm proud to share that we've been shipping the Research Ring, a lab grade wearable used by researchers worldwide, for over a year. Combined with our app and cloud infrastructure, the ring is enabling studies "in the wild" focused on stress, classroom attention, workplace effectiveness, media/entertainment/ad engagement, Alzheimer's Disease, pilot fatigue, sleep, and elite athletic performance, to name just a few research themes. One research team, led by Paul Bolls and Yen-I Lee of Washington State University, used Senstream rings to capture the psychophysiological responses of 31 people watching the Harris-Trump debate in September. Data was analyzed using the powerful software of our partner, BIOPAC Systems, Inc. The groundbreaking study was powered by the ring's ability to capture lab grade electrodermal activity and pulse signals in non-lab settings. The debate data will form the basis of a number of peer-reviewed publications. The team who made this and many other Research Ring programs possible includes Hugh Lusted, Ph.D., Jim Phillips, Helen Vydra, Alex Fajkowski, John Donohoe, J.P. Hutchins, Joe Watson, Greg McNamara, Sara Brisbin, Bryan Hord, Dave S Desrochers, Mickey Rowe, Brenda Dentinger, Frazer Findlay, Sergey Slyutov, David Pollack and Alan Macy. We are especially grateful to Joe O'Brien for his multi-faceted support.
