Today our #wastewater dashboard went live with H5 influenza data for all 190 sites from 41 states. Our assay detects H5 avian flu related to the #H5N1 outbreaks in cattle. This testing is a critical #publichealth tool to differentiate seasonal human flu from flu related to #HPAI outbreaks. We began testing on May 15, and after confirming everything is going smoothly we are including data on our dashboard and will continue to post data in real time. This is our usual process for changes to the WastewaterSCAN program. Where is the H5 signal in wastewater coming from? There is still a lot to learn.
