A week we’ve been highly anticipating! There’s been a ton of behind the scenes work to research, purchase, organize, and plan the receipt of all the incoming lab equipment. All culminating to this week and the expected arrival of our first, and LARGEST, piece of equipment, our autoclave. Also, a massive “Thank You” to Jacob Lingo, Jeremy Jackson, and Jacob Williams of Lingo Construction Services for their hard work and dedication to get us to this milestone!

YES! It’s that time again… ***Construction Update*** The BioTC Oklahoma BSL-2 training labs are rapidly nearing completion and we are just days away from receiving and installing our industry-specific equipment. It’s rather neat to watch the progress and see the many stages of completion on so many unique features. Like… 1) How many other biopharmaceutical training centers have an amphitheater immediately outside their back door? 2) Innovation Hall’s cafe/bar/coffee area is looking amazing! 3) The landscaping is really tying the whole campus together. The outside amenities on the Convergence OKC campus are going to be beautiful and highly inviting! Morning coffee outside on the shaded central promenade while taking care of emails? YES PLEASE! 4) OKC Innovation District’s Innovation Hall event space and conference rooms are spacious and many of the hi-tech presentation features are getting installed as we speak. 5) All training lab benchwork is installed and yet still tons of open floor space for the large industry-scale and industry-specific equipment that will be installed in those areas. Thank You Lingo Construction Services for the amazing progress and world-class build!

Day 1 of OKC Innovation District’s Innovation Week saw a full house. Over 400 OKC Public School 7th graders mingled with over 30 industry and academic booths with hands-on STEM activities. 🔬🧪🧫🧬 BioTC Oklahoma interacted with so many curious and eager minds. Two more days of even more STEM fun ahead of us, but Day 1 was a massive success! #stemisamazing HUGE THANK YOU to all of the sponsor and volunteers that make this possible every year. 👍
