Biotown Biogas was recently recognized by Energy Vision as a leader in renewable energy creation in its annual Leadership Awards! General Manager Chad Hoerr was honored to receive this award on behalf of the BTB team and Martin Mitchell was honored to accept on behalf of Green Rock Energy Partners. This award validates our work in building one of the largest on-farm anaerobic digesters in the world, capturing methane from waste to generate renewable power and RNG fuel. We’re grateful for this recognition and proud to be a leader in closed-loop agriculture. Our facility in Indiana takes in roughly 400,000 gallons of organic waste per day, allowing us to produce more than 40 million kWh of renewable power and 3 million gallons of RNG fuel per year. This helps transform the environmental impact of our local farming partners’ operations while generating valuable clean energy — ushering us closer to a clean energy transition. Thank you to Energy Vision for this honor and congratulations to our fellow awardees!
