Connecting BIPOC people in podcasting to resources and opportunities that grow their impact in media.
About us
BIPOC Podcast Creators was founded with a mission to address the persistent equity and transparency gaps in the podcasting industry. Our mission is to amplify the voices of BIPOC people in the podcasting industry by helping them create sustainability through connection to resources and opportunities that grow their impact in media. Studies have shown that BIPOC people… Continue to be overlooked in the podcasting space. Lack access to higher level resources. Often fall prey to quick-fix and podcasting fakexperts. Lack a deeper understanding of the industry. Are unfamiliar with the production process. Struggle with the content creation process. Experience podfade. Lack a space where they can express themselves authentically and without judgement. Don’t have a space where ALL BIPOC people across the gender spectrum can come together. We will do this through our five core goals: 1. Create a community of BIPOC podcast creators who are ready to go beyond the 101. 2. Advocate for a more equitable and transparent podcasting industry. 3. Make a space where BIPOC podcast creators can express themselves authentically and without judgement. 4. Amplify visibility opportunities that help advance BIPOC podcast creators. Such as speaking, features, and media coverage. 5. Offer resources that will help build BIPOC podcast creators a sustainable creation process. Through things like training and access to funding sources.
