The tenth annual Lean In and McKinsey Women in the Workplace report reveals positive trends, but the data remains troubling. While the percentage of women C-suite leaders has grown from 15% to 29% over the past decade, the rate of progress is unacceptable. At this pace, it is estimated that it will take more than two decades for white women to achieve gender parity at work. And the stats are even worse for women of color, who will not reach workplace equality with men until the year 2074. This article discusses roadblocks that impede progress and some of the ways organizations are working to accelerate the rate of success in achieving equality in the workplace. #dei #genderequity #diversityandinclusion #workplaceequality

The Unspoken topic that further divides the equity gap for women in the workplace. A year ago, in a historic move, Spain became the first European country to introduce paid menstrual leave for women experiencing debilitating symptoms. This policy acknowledges the real challenges many women face in balancing their health and professional responsibilities. We hoped it was a step forward in the global conversation about workplace equity and wellness that would influence U.S. employers to follow suit. Unfortunately, it didn’t. While menstruation is a normal part of life for billions of women, its impact on productivity and well-being has often been overlooked or stigmatized. With this policy, Spain joied countries like Japan, Indonesia, and Zambia in recognizing the importance of giving women the support they need. It's time for more workplaces worldwide to prioritize inclusive policies that support women at every stage of their professional journey. Menstrual leave is one part of a broader conversation on how we can build more equitable and supportive environments for all. What are your thoughts on menstrual leave in the workplace? Should more countries and companies adopt this policy? #WorkplaceInclusion #MenstrualHealth #Equity #WomensRights #Leadership #WorkPlaceWellness https://lnkd.in/gvVfSDRD
Need time off work for period pain? These countries offer ‘menstrual leave.’

Embracing Multiracial Identity: You Don’t Have to Choose Just One For far too long, the notion that biracial and multiracial individuals must "pick" a single identity has persisted. This misconception oversimplifies the rich and diverse heritage that so many people carry within them. In truth, being multiracial means having the unique ability to draw from multiple cultures, traditions, and experiences, creating an identity that is both multifaceted and deeply personal...more...https://lnkd.in/e4CyMkQ7
