A year ago we worked with Quad Lock and the YouTube channel MOTOBOB to produce a Product Guide Video dedicated to the brand: https://lnkd.in/en5rYreJ It got 116k views and counting. We've found that these Dedicated Videos are a great way to introduce a relevant spectrum of products to the audience and get them closer to the brand. We combined this with frequent integrated mentions like this one throughout the year which has made the main video even more popular: (Ad starts at 16:12) https://lnkd.in/eK8Qhqc4 I do think there are many areas of improvements when it comes to how the ads are integrated, but besides that, what are your thoughts on this? It was good, but in my experience, there are some buts for each point: 👥 Influencer Impact: “89% of marketers believe that ROI from influencer marketing is comparable to or better than other marketing channels. YouTube creators are at the forefront of this trend, offering authentic, engaging content that resonates with their dedicated followers. Brands that partner with creators can tap into this trust and authenticity.” Yes, but make sure you give creative freedom to creators. You're doing it wrong if you want them to follow a script. 🌐 Wide Reach: “YouTube boasts over 2 billion logged-in monthly users worldwide, making it one of the largest social media platforms globally. Collaborating with creators allows your brand to reach a vast and diverse audience, increasing brand exposure and potential customer acquisition.” Yes, but it is not like fishing with dynamite. You must still look for the right creators with the right demographics to target the right audience at the right time. It’s still Marketing 101. 💡 High Engagement Rates: “YouTube users spend an average of 40 minutes per session on the platform, and 70% of viewers buy from a brand after seeing it on YouTube. This level of engagement surpasses many other advertising avenues and can lead to tangible results for your brand. (Source: Google)” Cool, but make sure you have the proper sales funnel set up. I’ve worked with brands that looked perfect for my creators, but they don’t see the performance because their website is not built to drive more sales. You can spend as much money as you want on marketing, but you won't see any results if you don’t have a proper sales process. Do you think YouTube-sponsored ads are annoying, or do you like them? Most in-video ads are boring, and I find myself skipping through them with my paw. This is a problem because more brands are getting worse results. Hence, they stop investing in creators, and their revenue decreases. So, how do we solve this problem? Entering Creator Marketing (AKA Influencer Marketing done well). Creators have the power to unite through storytelling and creativity. As a brand, the best you can do when partnering up with a creator is to give them Creative freedom to connect your brand with their audience. Once you eliminate scripts and norms in the agreement, you'll start to find great results. As a creator, there's nothing better than working with a brand they genuinely love and have the freedom to show and introduce it to the audience as they want. And as the audience, there's nothing better than watching your favorite creator getting out of their comfort zone to show you a new channel partner. Creativity runs on freedom.
