About us
Black Podcasting Awards celebrates, spotlights, and bolsters Black podcasts for more wins and successes. It achieves this primarily by producing an annual awards program and ceremony. It also produces two newsletters: BPAwardsWatch and One Black podcast a day. The former notes Black podcast(er)s' new award nominations and wins; plus shares other relevant award program application and speaking opportunities. The latter highlights at least seven new podcasts each Wednesday in collaboration with BlkPodNews™ We emerged from a February 2020 Twitterstorm eager to see #podcasting steer clear of its version of #OscarsSoWhite We are a community-founded, volunteer-fueled annual awards program & ceremony. 501c3 incorporated. We appreciate referrals of applicants, volunteer judges, gifts, sponsors, and support otherwise.

If you're a podcaster, 2 years from now you'll probably be finding all of your podcast guests on LinkedIn. I recently found a Creator I wanted to interview on my podcast on Instagram, I tried DM'ing them to get their email but they had 45k followers so my request fell through the cracks. I DM'd them on LinkedIn and they responded, literally within 30 minutes. The number of Creators and Entrepreneurs that are easily reachable via LinkedIn is encouraging. As a podcaster, doubling down on LinkedIn could be a great way to position yourself to get high-caliber guests for your show. #socialmediamarketing #podcasting #influencermarketing
