I know I posted a #healthcare cybersecurity data breach last week but another one has hit the news today with Omni Family health. I can't stress enough about the increase in cyberattacks on Healthcare organizations. They have valuable data that hackers want to sell on the #darkweb. Omni Family Health is a #nonprofit organization that provides healthcare services to communities in California, focusing on underserved populations. The organization discovered the security breach on August 7, 2024, following claims that information was taken from its systems and leaked on the dark web. The company promptly launched an investigation into the incident with the help of external cybersecurity specialists. The Hunters International #ransomware gang claimed responsibility for the attack. The group claimed to have stolen 2.7 terabytes of data and listed the organization on its Tor leak site, releasing the stolen information on August 23.
