Congratulations to the Black Wealth Data Center for two successful years! Bloomberg Philanthropies launched this platform to respond to a challenge: to support the racial equity work of leaders and decision-makers with actionable data. Since then, the BWDC team has grown and has become an invaluable source to the field – fueling both national and local efforts advancing racial wealth equity through expanded data and data visualization tools. I am so proud of our team, who contribute their hard work, innovative thinking and passion. I look forward to what we will accomplish in the next two - and beyond.

We believe collaboration is key to driving systemic change. Over the past two years, we’ve teamed up with incredible organizations and thought leaders to push forward meaningful progress on racial wealth equity.   Thank you to our partners for being with us on this journey. 🎉 🥳 Congratulations to Diya M. and Kimberly M., the winners of the Kode With Klossy x Black Wealth Data Center 2024 Virtual Challenge.    During their presentations, they showed incredible skill, poise, and a strong understanding of data science concepts through their thought-provoking projects about Black businesses in major cities. Their submissions reinforced how vital data is in discovering equity challenges and solutions.    Congratulations also to our other three finalists, who were selected out of 192 alumni to present their submissions: Akreti S., Sadhana G., and Sara K.
