  • Understanding that if you go to a presentation and it gives you information on how to be independent and highly be the best in your life And then you take that back home to your Direct Care staff and they're not listening they're saying that that does not have anything to do with their job  These things happen and it makes it hard for people receiving services The reason why I mentioned this is because I had been in this situation many of times oh do you mean   It can really be something that makes you want to cry and can make you upset  That's why when we educate people on the information that we created we want to be able to give them the power to say that I am entitled to this service We want to engage directly with people receiving services so they can learn but Feel confident and taking this information back and saying this is how my services go this is what I want to do on a day-to-day

  • I was practicing doing this presentation that teaches people the development of disabilities about the importance of a house lease When people receive services Are on a house lease, they are entitled to many rights. Recipient rights The Home Community Based Services That gives people rights to do things that they choose to When you educate on the situation, this better helps people understand. How can they say money? How can they have a choice of their roommate? Being on the house, please, can really be a tough thing. That's why we believe that this is something educational that should take place. Understanding with really experience, this has been a very big issue for quite a few years in my accounting.  People have probably heard me bring this issue up a lot when I get other advocacy work.  The ability to be taken advantage of by the house lease is not only emotional, but it's devastating.  This is where we had a broken system.  Housing education is very important Getting people the economy in their own homes is a very important  Blake Perry Self-Advocate Consulting LLC  It was developed.
