This week, I was reminded of how great our operation team is at Building Controls and Services, Inc.. With one of our project managers out this week, I took a more active role with a few of our jobsites. One project in particular had a unit down due to a rivet puncturing the condenser coil. This unit served an area that was sensitive to high humidity and a few weeks away from turnover, so we needed to act fast. After meeting with the construction team Monday afternoon, our operations team took control of getting this issue resolved. They immediately contacted our manufacturer partners to locate a coil replacement. Once they located a replacement, they drove 500 miles to pick it up and avoid third party shipping risk. Today, we had three guys onsite to complete the repair. After it holds a pressure test overnight, they will recharge the system and get the unit running tomorrow morning. One thing I’ve learned after 10+ years in the industry is mechanical equipment will fail at some point. How a company reacts when it does fail is what separates them from others. Every problem is an opportunity to prove your value and I would put our operation team up against anyone. Special shoutout to Timothy Gosnell, Oscar Prieto-Rodriguez, Matthew Lavigne, Paul Turpin, Ryan Spaedy, Woody Hon, Grant Jeffries and Brian Noone for all your help this week!
