GMHA is helping keep their members up-to-date on the latest resources following this devastating storm. See below for the latest update from GMHA: Governor Brian Kemp has announced residents in 41 Georgia counties affected by Hurricane Helene are now eligible to apply for disaster assistance. The Public Assistance programs in the Major Disaster Declaration are currently limited to assistance for emergency work and repairing or replacing disaster-damaged facilities. As additional assessments are completed, more counties may be added. Individuals in these designated counties can apply for assistance in any of the following ways: Online at DisasterAssistance.gov Calling 1-800-621-3362 People who are deaf, hard of hearing, or have a speech disability and use a TTY may call 800-462-7585.
