I’m heading to The Labour Party annual conference this week in Liverpool. Will be great to hear from Britain’s new Prime Minister Keir Starmer just over 2-months in and after a busy summer, where there were a number of regionally relevant announcements. Our region is at a crossroads, and the relationship between Qatar and the UK is stronger than ever, so it will be great to be on the ground in Liverpool engaging with the new Government in London and meeting colleagues old and new. I’m also looking forward to attending some interesting side events, particularly the Chatham House event on Labour’s foreign policy and global trade, as well as insightful talks hosted by the Labour Middle East Council, the Labour Foreign Policy group, and the Embassy of the State of Qatar. This past week has been both refreshing and incredibly rewarding. I had the privilege of supporting the Qatar Museums and BLJ Worldwide teams in handling the Press Preview at Fire Station’s #AIR8 and M7’s #Zwara exhibitions. There’s something really special about approaching something you love from a different perspective. While I’ve always enjoyed visiting exhibitions as a guest, this time I experienced the excitement and behind-the-scenes work as part of the communications team. It was an eye-opening opportunity that deepened my appreciation for the art world and the strategic work that goes into bringing these exhibitions to life.
