Our thoughts and prayers are with those in the path of Hurricane Milton. For those that are safe from the storm, please consider donating blood. The AABB Interorganizational Task Force on Domestic Disasters and Acts of Terrorism is "asking eligible Americans to donate blood, and especially platelets, in unaffected areas to help ensure that life-saving blood products will always be available for patients who need them." https://lnkd.in/gZKd_h-M
We hope you’re all staying safe as the storm approaches. To ensure our local hospitals have the blood and platelet supplies they may need, we urge you to donate if you're eligible and able to do so. Your donations can make a critical difference in times like these. Here are our donor center hours: Bradenton (3025 Lakewood Ranch Blvd, Suite 111) Tuesday: 9am – 5pm Wednesday: CLOSED Sarasota (1760 Mound Street) Tuesday: Platelet 6am, 9am – 5pm Wednesday: CLOSED Venice (Bird Bay Plaza, 539 US Hwy 41 Bypass) Tuesday: 9am – 1pm Wednesday: CLOSED Port Charlotte (Charlotte Square, 2150 Tamiami Trail, Unit 17) Tuesday: CLOSED Wednesday: CLOSED Also, please remember that donations after the storm are just as important as before.
