Stoic thought of the day (or week, month, etc). 😎 From "Meditations" by Marcus Aurelius "Yes, keep on degrading yourself, soul. But soon your chance at dignity will be gone. Everyone gets one life. Yours is almost used up, and instead of treating yourself with respect, you have entrusted your happiness to other souls." If we are "upset" with others we've "entrusted our happiness" to them. I believe I've finally figured out that we have a choice not to do that. Have a great life and care not what others do. OK. Enough stoicism for one day... let's go do something we feel good about 😘

Please take a moment and read this and you will understand the real "WHY" behind our journey @investwithroots We got a call from one of our longest-standing residents asking if she can use the funds she’s saved in her Roots account as collateral for a loan. As it turns out, her Mom had just passed away, and she needed money to cover the funeral costs. We told her that she could use her Roots account as collateral for the loan, and when she went into the portal to see her balance, she was on the verge of tears. As it turned out, she had saved enough money from renting with us to no longer need a loan. She could simply cash out enough money to throw a proper funeral. Unfortunately, this is where many Americans are right now. In spite of this resident recently experiencing tragedy, she was moved to tears by the discovery that she had a bit more financial wiggle room than anticipated. This woman can now pay for her Mother’s funeral debt-free because of the wealth she built through the Roots community. We are the vehicle. They are the driver. Thanks,
