Taking Safety to the Next Level As part of Blue Bird's Next Level Safety announcement, a school bus crash test was performed at IMMI's premiere testing facility, CAPE, in Westfield, Indiana. The simulated crash test demonstrates the added safety Blue Bird buses provide passengers in the event of an accident when equipped with three-point seat belts and driver air bags, compared to the dangers passengers face without the added safety features. Watch the video to see the importance of making the safest vehicles on the road even safer for passengers, drivers, and everyone on the road.

Today we kick-off National #SchoolBusSafetyWeek! First observed in California in 1963 and recognized as a national event in 1970, School Bus Safety Week originated as the result of a passionate letter-writing campaign to President Nixon, led by Dick Fischer, a former school district transportation director. We thank Fischer for his invaluable contributions to the school transportation industry, and promoting student #safety across the nation. This week presents the opportunity for parents, students, teachers, motorists, school bus operators, school administrators, and others - to join forces and emphasize the critical importance of #SchoolBusSafety.
