We got a lot of very cool submissions for #Flame7Years, but one really stood out... Congratulations Iman Khoshabi for building something that really blew our mind! In his submission you can see the history of commits to Flame from the top 100 contributors. 😍 https://lnkd.in/dXnZR7sD Thank you everybody for participating, it was so much fun seeing what you all built! 😊

Couldn't stop myself from creating something for the #Flame7Years contest! 😄 The fire animation is made using a slightly modified version of this shader from ShaderToy: https://lnkd.in/dScaHFrC #FlameEngine #FlutterGameDev

#Flame7Years contest submission, in celebration of the 7th birthday of Flutter Flame. «This year's contest is simple: Create an animation of a flame in Flame without any assets. 🔥» Code snippet: https://lnkd.in/dEv3-MEt
Today is no normal day, because today is Flame's 7th birthday! 🥳 And as per tradition (happened once before...) we're having a #Flame7Years contest! This year's contest is simple: "Create an animation of a flame in Flame without any assets". The winner will get the legendary Flame Care Package with a lot of fun things in it shipped to them. 🥇 Rules: * Use the #Flame7Years hashtag (if you post it on social media, which we encourage) * Paste a Dartpad link to the code * Record a short video of your animation running * Deadline: October 27th 23:59 CET We're looking forward to seeing your submissions! 😃

Have you used the Flame DevTools Extension yet? If not, try it out! It's super useful for debugging your game. 🔧
💡 Did you know many of your favorite packages come with DevTools extensions to improve your workflow and enhance your developer experience? You can access these extensions by opening Flutter DevTools in your IDE or in your browser. Keep reading as we share some of the most popular extensions, and give some tips and tricks for using them. 👇 1. The Provider extension allows you to inspect your Providers and modify their state at runtime → https://goo.gle/3TgrvXG 2. Flame, a leading game engine for Flutter, provides an extension that allows you to inspect components, modify their properties, and step through game animations → https://goo.gle/3vQ7ScI 3. And of course Flame was used! 😃
I can tell you folks, that today is a GOOD day (even though extremely sleep deprived)! 😍 First of all Flutter & Friends 2024 was an absolute success! We had so much fun and all the hard work that we have put in the last few months really paid off, and the attendees really appreciated it. 💙 AND the second thing... I just got the news that I won $80,000 in the LG webOS Hackathon, where the task was to build a game for LG TVs. I built a game where you are a wizard controlling a wand with the TV remote (which has gyroscopic sensors) to cast different spells and defeat your enemies. So now I'm going to Seoul, South Korea and presenting the game at the end of the month! 😍
