It is with the grace of GOD that I post, as I went through a calamity with false accusations related to Healthcare fraud, in May 2024 a Jury spoke in Pennsylvania and found me NOT GUILTY, a rarity as only 0.4 of criminal defendants were found not guilty in 2022 (290/71954) and a testament to the lack of evidence. Competent lawyers save lives; Law Professor Paul Hetznecker, along with Ronald Chapman II, Esq. LLM defended me and still do against these accusations. The defense team included Michael Staples, CMBI, Chapman Consulting Group. I am indebted to our coding experts David Klein at DK Coding & Compliance, Inc, and Sean Weiss. I am grateful to Kenneth DiNella, MD. I am happy to put this chapter behind me and move forward.
The staff at Blue Mountain Psychiatry and Muhamad Aly Rifai, MD are grateful for the Jury’s Verdict. We are appreciative for the twelve courageous Pennsylvanian men and women who listened intently and found our practice and owner not guilty. The Jury cleared Dr. Rifai practice Blue Mountain Psychiatry of allegations that it billed Medicare for 1.1 million in services allegedly not provided to patients between 2015 to 2022. We feel vindicated of the charges and can continue our lifelong commitment to serve our patients.
