  • Do you have an office tournament bracket pool? We do! We noticed that some (stereo)typical players appear in every pool. Do you recognize any of these? Give a shout-out to anyone that matches your teammate! The Casual Player - Chooses based on mascots, team colors, and "vibes." Probably ends up winning it all. The "Family Plan" - Submits the maximum number of brackets for every family member...even the newborn? Might win third place with one of them. The Procrastinator - Commits to playing but waits until about 5 minutes before the deadline to submit brackets. It's not her fault... The Homer - Picks local/favorite/alma mater schools to go all the way, no matter the seeding. Half of your pool are these players. The Analyst - Knows all the stats, can rattle off teams that played 20 years ago, and can be heard saying "thanks for your donation" to everyone else that plays. Brackets are busted by the end of the week. Sarah Stenger Jake Novak Martha Pratt Bryan Hilycord James Davis

  • Want more #recurringrevenue in your portfolio? This week, #BlueStarNation welcomes our new #connectivity partner, iONLINE CEO David Farquharson, and our own Jim Hilton, to the podcast to explain how mission-critical network interoperability presents an opportunity for solution providers to gain complete "account control" of your opportunities for edge devices and emerging technologies. Dave details how multi-carrier network solutions help businesses cope with coverage issues across localities, states, and countries, allowing devices to auto-switch carriers as needed for maximum connectivity. Jim reflects on his channel experience to make the pitch for selling network and connectivity solutions to ensure you don't lose an opportunity you've worked hard for. Watch the full episode on YouTube or listen anywhere you get podcasts! iONLINE - Smart IoT connectivity done right, Cory Mabry, Dean Reverman

  • The #BlueStarNation Podcast welcomed Honeywell's Tony Boncore back to discuss the power shift from #retailers to consumers and how new edge technologies like #AI and #unifiedcommerce create a competitive advantage. Tony notes that the internet, easy access to mobile devices, and the ease of e-commerce and big-box stores have made shoppers "very demanding, and sometimes very confusing." "The ones that are struggling are the ones that don't know where their identity is anymore," he says. Many retailers understand what's happening with customers and that they've lost them to the convenience of online shopping or one-stop shops. Still, it may be "just a bit too late to react to it...to bring that loyalist back to them because they found comfort somewhere else." Honeywell hopes to address these problems with their Honeywell Intelligence AI overlay to enable associates to provide better in-store experiences. "It's equipping retailers to have information at their fingertips," where an employee can ask AI on their devices for information in the moment with a customer rather than walking away, asking someone else, or saying, "I don't know." That info could include images, augmented reality, language translations, or better suggestive selling. "You're bringing power back to the associate."

  • Welcome to #BlueStarNation! The podcast formerly known as TEConnect is back! To kick off a new season, John & Dean explain the reason for the name change. Next, they explore the most engaging content (podcasts, webinars, articles) that our partners consumed last year to give a sense of what the channel is thinking and talking about. Dean also gives his thoughts on #NRF2025. Subscribe to our YouTube channel or find BlueStar Nation anywhere you get podcasts. In the coming weeks, we'll be talking #networking & #connectivity, helping #retailers succeed in a world where consumers have the power, automation & AI in #hospitality, the human side of #supplychain technology, and much more!
