This week, we had our first Poppy Flowers in-person meeting here in Charlottesville. After four+ years of grinding it out in remote work land, through launching a wedding business weeks before COVID, pivoting, pivoting back again, and many iterations of this team, we finally gathered together. And it was absolute magic. The energy on this team is electric. It’s so, so full of heart. Time slowed down this week, every hour felt meaningful, and important connections were solidified. If I’m being honest, knowing what I know now about administrative complexity, I might not have decided to go remote back in August 2020. But, on the other hand, we’ve been able to build an exceptionally talented team exactly because we’re natively remote. Bringing them together for the first time was one of the highlights of this journey so far. I can’t wait until the next time!
