Our thoughts are with the family that experienced such a heartbreaking loss. Moments like these truly highlight the significance of even the smallest gestures. Great job Officer Carrier for being the light on such a dark day for this family.

Strengthening relationships between peace officers and the communities they serve, creating safer neighborhoods.
About us
BlueBridge Alliance is a nonprofit organization that works to build trust and cooperation between law enforcement and communities, resulting in improved public safety. The organization's flagship program allows law enforcement officers to provide immediate short-term assistance to people in need. This assistance can take many forms, such as food, clothing, fuel, shelter, transportation, or help with affording needed medication. While founded in 2020, BlueBridge began active operations in 2022 after receiving a generous grant to pilot the program in Washington state. Since then, the program has been praised by community members, law enforcement officers, and elected officials from both sides of the aisle. Officers report that the program has helped them to build relationships with community members and make their communities safer. Community members report that the program has helped them to get the help they need when they need it most. Elected officials report that the BlueBridge program is a valuable tool for building trust and cooperation between law enforcement and communities. BlueBridge is proving to play an important role in helping communities address issues in criminal justice, poverty, domestic violence, social justice, juvenile health and safety, and other complex challenges that are important to facilitating healthy and vibrant neighborhoods.

Hey everyone! We are back with another new team member introduction! We are excited to introduce you to our new Director of Development, Samantha Biasca! Sam is from a small town in Northern California and is from the Haida, Tlingit, and Inuit Tribes. She has a background in Development and Communications primarily working with Native nonprofits in Washington for the past 7 years! In fact, she serves on the Board of Directors for several local Native nonprofits working to improve the lives of her community members. As the Director of Development, she spends her days writing grants and fundraising. She has 4 years of experience in fundraising, donor relations, and strategic development so you could say she’s got a knack for it! “I love development work because at it’s heart fundraising is about building authentic relationships with funders and telling the story behind the work we’re doing. Reading the officer’s reports describing the incredible work being done in our community is inspiring, and it’s an honor to be a small part of making those positive interactions happen,” -Samantha Biasca. Samantha’s hobbies outside of work include reading, staying up too late to finish puzzles, and creating art. She is a large collector of camping gear that she never uses and frequently calls leisurely strolls with her dog ‘hikes’. In her free time, Samantha enjoys being bullied around by her four tiny Tyrannosaurus rex descendants (chickens), and one small fluffy dog. Samantha’s favorite travel story involves dog sledding on an iceberg in Alaska. Fun fact about huskies used for dog sledding in Alaska is they look completely different from huskies you see down here. Folks in the sledding industry call them ‘hollywood huskies’ because they say ‘they’re for show’. Who knew? Welcome to the team Sam! We can’t wait to see how your initiative and drive makes positive changes in our organization. #onboarding #welcometotheteam #newteammembers #humanizingthebadge #Bluebridgealliance #samanthabiasca #nonprofit #nonprofitorganization

We are so excited to introduce our new team members! Our first warm welcome is to our new Portfolio Manager, Kelseylynn Ashley. Kelseylynn likes to go by Kelsey as she whole heatedly believes that no one has the time to say such a long name. She grew up in Richland, Washington, but currently resides in Spokane, Washington. She recently graduated from Eastern Washington University with a double major in Marketing and Business Management along with a minor in Communications. Kelsey's main job is to keep track of the police departments, help them with their on-boarding, monitor their BlueBridge card transactions, and she also helps with fun side quests like making social media posts. (Wouldn't it be funny if she made this post😉) "This is such a fun job. I love building relationships with people and improving my communication skills. I think BlueBridge Alliance is an amazing organization because of how it focuses on strengthening a part of the community that isn't always talked about but is so important. I am so proud to be a part of something that helps people in such a personable way and generates an overall positive change in communities," -Kelsey Ashley. Kelsey's hobbies outside of working consist of hiking, jogging, tap dancing, and playing with her cat, Kizzy. One of her biggest pet peeves is bad drivers. However, take that information with a grain of salt considering she has hit a moose driving home from work in the past. Welcome to the team, Kelsey! We can't wait to see you grow in our organization! None of us like to hear these stories about abuse. But it exists and officers are dealing with it frequently. Glad that Ofc. Stewart was able to leverage her BlueBridge program to help provide a little relief for these folks in a crummy situation. #HumanizingTheBadge #CommunityPolicing #BlueBridgeAlliance #DVAwareness
