"The focus that Replicator 2 has put on countering the threats posed by small uncrewed aerial systems confirms our long-held belief that reliably defending against swarms of drones is an absolute priority for the future of warfare - and success is directly tied to our ability to field multiple advanced technologies via a multi-layered approach. As we've seen in Ukraine - drone warfare has transformed the modern battlefield, and we applaud the Pentagon for using the Replicator program to bring these critical CUAS technologies to the front lines faster." - Jonathan Moneymaker, CEO, BlueHalo United States Department of Defense Defense Innovation Unit (DIU)
In a 9/30/2024 announcement, U.S. Secretary of Defense Lloyd J. Austin III reaffirmed his commitment to the Department of Defense’s Replicator Initiative, touting its success as it prepares for its next phase. “In Replicator 1, we focused our aim on attritable autonomy, and we are on track with the Initiative 's fielding plan for next summer. This work has, in turn, helped ignite our efforts to scale autonomous systems across the force more generally,” Austin said. Replicator 2 will focus on countering the threat posed by small uncrewed aerial systems (C-sUAS), and Defense Innovation Unit (DIU) leadership will continue to be deeply involved in overseeing the development and execution of Replicator. “Seeking support is a step towards wellness, not a barrier to success.” Brian Morrison, BlueHalo Intel Portfolio President, delivered an important message to members of HaloNation today as we wrap #NationalSuicidePreventionMonth. Too often, people in our industry who need help are worried about seeking support because of outdated beliefs on how it might impact security clearances. But the rules have changed. The SF 86 security clearance questionnaire now emphasizes that seeking assistance can positively impact your clearance adjudication because it demonstrates a commitment to personal and professional well-being. If you or someone you know is in immediate need of support, call or text 988–the free #NationalSuicidePreventionLifeline available 24/7. #YouAreNotAlone #MentalHealthMatters
