3 Painful Truths I Wish I Knew Before Writing My First Book: ✍️ 𝐖𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐢𝐬 𝐨𝐧𝐥𝐲 𝐡𝐚𝐥𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐛𝐚𝐭𝐭𝐥𝐞. The creative process is exhilarating, but the work doesn’t stop when you type "The End." There will always be another tweak you could make, but at some point, you have to let go and trust your work will resonate. 🚫 𝐑𝐞𝐣𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐢𝐬 𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐯𝐢𝐭𝐚𝐛𝐥𝐞. No matter how good your book is, not everyone will love it. What Kind of Writer Is ChatGPT?

1.💻 "Writers are always inspired." We’ve all seen the movies—writers sitting in cozy cafes, sipping coffee, and typing away as inspiration flows effortlessly. But do you want the truth? Most days, we stare at blank screens, struggling to find the right words. Writing isn't about waiting for the muse; it’s about showing up, even when you don’t feel like it. 2. 🎁"You need a special gift to be a writer." Ever think, "I'm not talented enough to write a book?" Join the club! The biggest lie is believing that writing is reserved for a select few. Writing is a craft. Like any other skill, it improves with time, practice, and persistence. You don’t need to be born with a “gift”—you just need to start. 3.👷♀️"It’s a solitary job." Sure, writing might seem like a solo venture, but it’s anything but lonely. From editors to beta readers to writing communities, the journey is a collaborative one. Don’t be fooled into thinking you need to do it all alone. Your writing tribe is out there, waiting to support you! Don’t let these lies hold you back. If you’ve got a story to tell, the only thing standing in your way is getting started. 💪✍️ What lie about writing do you need to let go of? Drop it in the comments below! 👇 #WriteYourBook

"I'M NOT MADE TO WRITE BOOKS 😤" I once thought... Now, years later, with 12 completed books and a whole lot of lessons learned, here’s a quick roundup of what I discovered about #writing: 1. Keep at it. If I had known earlier how important consistency was, I would've stuck to a daily writing habit. #Writing a book is a marathon, not a sprint. Even if it’s just a few paragraphs, keep pushing forward every day! 2. Critics are everywhere. Just like marketing, you won’t always win over everyone and have all the people cheering you on—whether you’re writing fiction or nonfiction. You might get constructive criticism...or no feedback at all. Don’t let it discourage you. Write with confidence! 3. It’s not personal. Your story, your expertise—it’s valuable. But not everyone will resonate with it. That’s okay! Stay true to your vision and focus on the readers who do connect with your work. 4. Find your voice. You don't need to be perfect at every genre or writing style. Mastering your unique voice or expertise is far more powerful than trying to fit into every literary mold. Focus on what makes you stand out. 💡 Ready to turn those lessons into a reality? Grab our FREE guide on how to write a book that sells!
