📢 VA launches new platform to help veterans identify and report scams 📢   Concerned about falling victim to a scam? The VA has launched a new platform that provides veterans and their families with essential tools and resources to combat common fraud schemes. We recognize the increasing prevalence of scams and the importance of this service in supporting our mission to empower veterans. By sharing these resources, we all can help ensure that veterans have the protection they need to thrive! 

🛑 Veterans report underemployment, pay frustration up to four years post service 🛑 “Post-9/11 veterans, those who served during the global War on Terror in Iraq and Afghanistan and have transitioned to civilian life face substantial risk of underemployment,” said Katie Davenport, assistant research professor at the Clearinghouse for Military Family Readiness and lead author on the study. “This issue partly arises because many employers struggle to understand how military skills, particularly leadership, translate to civilian jobs. Also, veterans can feel pressure to accept jobs quickly after they leave military service and may not be as selective as they should be.” Learn More ➡ https://lnkd.in/erV5C_3F
