We are excited to have a handful of team members representing the Bodwé Group family of companies at #AUSA2024 in Washington D.C. this week! We kicked off the week with a fun night of networking and supporting the families of America's fallen heroes at the Tragedy Assistance Program for Survivors (TAPS) @ Topgolf event yesterday, and today we look forward to learning about the Army’s priorities while sharing more about the wide range of capabilities our organization has to offer. If you are attending the Association of the United States Army - AUSA's 2024 Annual Meeting & Exposition, be sure to keep an eye out for Jeremy Berg, AIA, NCIDQ, Brett Hysinger, Clint Stewart, Norman Wixon, PMP, Steven Giles, Dan Fletcher, and Steven M. Anderson and ask them about our #TriballyOwned family of #ProfessionalServices companies and how we might be able to collaborate in the future in support of federal agencies! #Army #FederalContracting #TradeShows #Networking #JointVentures

We build sustainable professional services businesses to grow the economy and legacy of the Pokagon Band of Potawatomi.
About us
Bodwé Group is wholly owned by Mno-Bmadsen, the non-gaming investment enterprise and a wholly owned instrumentality of the Pokagon Band of Potawatomi. Bodwé Group is comprised of Seven Generations A+E, WBK Engineering, The Steelhead Engineering Company, Blue Star Integrative Studio, Bodwé Technology Solutions, and Bodwé Federal Services. Bodwé teams provide architectural services, interior design, master planning, healthcare planning, environmental consulting, federal support services, cyber/IT services, and structural, civil, and MEP engineering. We partner with Indigenous, healthcare, education, federal, municipal, community, and private clients across the country. We are architects, planners, consultants, designers, engineers, program managers, and contractors whose work supports the Pokagon Band and each of its more than 6,000 citizens. We design, we build, we create, we problem solve, we preserve, and we enhance human space, place, and quality of life, working as individual teams and as a collective Bodwé Group. The Bodewéwadmik people, or Potawatomi, have long been identified as the keepers of the fire. Our name, Bodwé, means to light a fire for him/her; to meaningfully serve another. As a group of talented architecture, engineering, and consulting professionals working alongside many diverse clients, the name Bodwé suits us perfectly. You will find Indigenous tradition woven into our brands and identities, and more importantly, our values and ways of working. Learn more at: www.bodwegroup.com

Indigenous Peoples’ Day is not only a time to reflect on the history and contributions of Indigenous peoples but also serves as a reminder of the continued presence and resilience of Native communities. To honor this day, we’d like to share a short clip from an interview with Pokagon Elders Council Chairwoman Judy Winchester as she highlights the strides the Pokagon Band of Potawatomi has taken over the last 30 years as a sovereign nation to improve the quality of life for its citizens. We are proud to serve as one of the many companies under Mno-Bmadsen, the non-gaming investment enterprise of the Pokagon Band, and to contribute to the Band’s ability to invest in its community in meaningful ways, such as housing, healthcare, and education. Alexander Hokkanen and Isabel (Isa) Cournoyer will be attending and exhibiting at the 36th Annual Black Hills Powwow this weekend in Rapid City, SD! Alex and Isa will be sharing information about the work Seven Generations Architecture & Engineering and Blue Star Integrative Studio are collaborating on to capture the Rapid City community’s vision for a memorial that will occupy the former site of the Sioux Sanatorium, a tuberculosis hospital for Native patients, later known as Sioux San Hospital. Over the next few months, our team will lead community engagement workshops in person with participants from Rapid City and across west-river South Dakota to understand what Sioux San meant to the community and discuss and develop ideas for how the site should be memorialized. We hope Alex and Isa can connect with Tribal community members at the Black Hills Powwow and gain some initial interest as we begin planning the in-person and virtual workshops. More details will be shared on our website as the project progresses. Please check for updates on the Sioux Sanatorium Memorial Project here: https://lnkd.in/eps_wbCU #CommunityEngagement #IndigenousDesign #VisioningWorkshops #SouthDakota #BlackHillsPowwow #RapidCity #TribalCommunities

Last week, 7GAE team members attended the third annual American Indian Health & Family Services (AIHFS) Charity Gala. This event promotes good health and well-being for Michigan residents while also raising awareness of the unique challenges faced by Native American communities and underserved populations in urban areas. It was a great opportunity for our team to network with healthcare professionals, community leaders, and other partners working to reduce these disparities. We enjoyed learning more about the Urban Indian Experience, the keynote panel for the evening. As a #triballyowned company designing healthcare projects that improve access to culturally sensitive healthcare services, 7GAE was proud to be a sponsor of this year’s Charity Gala. We look forward to continuing our support of AIHFS as they address the needs of Michigan’s diverse communities. #AIHFS #CharityGala #IndigenousDesign #IndigenousHealthcare #CommunitySupport #TribalWellness #HealthServices #HealthcareDesign
