Bold Reuse recently partnered with Plug and Play at the AZ Innovation Expo! Such an inspiring company and a super cool opportunity for my Environmental, Engineering, and Strategic-minded friends...
Last year, we launched a full-scale reuse program with Portland Trail Blazers @ the Rose Quarter. This past weekend, Rip City Reuse surpassed the milestone of eliminating more than half a million single-use cups from landfills! We are proud to be part of this accomplishment, huge congratulations to the Trail Blazers & Levy Restaurants for taking bold action to get here. 👏
Portland Business Journal recently named the Trail Blazers and Rose Quarter a Climate Champion for our continued sustainability efforts, which include our groundbreaking Rip City Reuse program. The program recently surpassed an impressive milestone: Rip City Reuse has eliminated more than 500,000 single-use cups from landfills! Special Shoutout to our friends at COR Disposal & Recycling for also being named a Climate Champion!

October 06 is #GreenSportsDay! The 400+ stadiums in the U.S. will dispose of over 2.16 billion plastic cups this year alone...but we're changing that at Bold Reuse. The sports teams we work with have been making moves to be first in the reuse space: 🏀 Portland Trail Blazers @ the Rose Quarter - The first NBA team, and the first stadium in the U.S. to implement a full-scale reusable cup program. ⚽️ Portland Timbers / Providence Park - The first MLS team & stadium to introduce reusable cups. 🏆 KC Current / CPKC Stadium - The first stadium in the *world* to implement a full-scale reusable cup program for all beverages from day one of opening. ⚾️ Arizona Diamondbacks - The first Major League Baseball (MLB) team to implement a reusable cup program. 🏒 Seattle Kraken - Teaming up with Starbucks to introduce reusable cups at the Kraken Community Iceplex 🏈 Seattle Seahawks - Using reusable food and drinkware at the 2024 Training Camp at Lumen Field! Together, these teams and their fans have eliminated over half a million single-use cups from entering landfills! We envision a bold future where every sports team joins the reuse movement so that we can eliminate TRILLIONS of single-use items and make disposables a thing of the past. Tag a sports team you want to see take on #reuse! Green Sports Alliance 💚
Shoutout to the newest member of the #reuserevolution! We supported yet another great reuse activation at Plug and Play Tech Center in #Arizona Thanks for choosing #reuse for your event, we can't wait for more 🤩
💥 That’s a wrap on my first-ever Expo, and I couldn’t be more thrilled with what we achieved! From start to finish, this event was a whirlwind of inspiration—featuring remarkable speakers, brilliant and forward-thinking panelists, and exciting new partnership announcements. One of the standout moments was receiving a special video message from Congressman Greg Stanton, emphasizing the importance of water resilience🚰. It was inspiring to hear such strong support for our mission and to know that #Arizona is truly leading the way in #sustainability. The message really captured the heart of why we do what we do, and seeing it come together so well was an unforgettable highlight. I’m especially honored to have just graduated my first accelerateAZ #startup cohorts—Sustainability Batch 1 (OXbyEL Technologies, Sylvan Source (SSI), Ampcera, Higher Wire Inc, SorbiForce, BreatheEV, Carbon Utility, Beyond Silicon, Inc., SunFlex Solar) and Advanced Manufacturing Batch 3 (SupplyHub.AI, Purity ReSource, Revolute Robotics, ThinAir, FlyX Technologies). Watching these incredible startups grow, supporting them through workshops, mentorship, and creating opportunities to connect them with the community has been an amazing journey. I’ll truly miss working with these talented #entrepreneurs as they continue to make an impact. I’m also elated that we collaborated with Bold Reuse for the Arizona Innovation Expo, their first event in Arizona. Bold Reuse is dedicated to #minimizingwaste and maximizing impact with innovative solutions for #reusable event materials. It’s rewarding to see Plug and Play championing sustainability through more environmentally friendly corporate events. Thank you to everyone who attended and contributed to making this event a resounding success! Stay tuned for more highlights and reflections in my next post!
