Happy National Physician Assistant Week! National Physician Assistant Week is celebrated every year from October 6-12. Treating patients in today’s complex healthcare settings takes a whole team of professionals. Among these medical workers are Physician Assistants, broadly trained in a wide spectrum of conditions and tasks. They can help patients improve their quality of life and manage many conditions.   This week we recognize the Physician Assistant profession and its contributions to the medical community! This Physician Assistant week, let’s honor all that PAs do for their patients and their communities and all the ways they add value to healthcare, especially Bone & Joint! Thank you, Kelsey, Karen, Dan, Stephanie, Kevin, Amanda, Joe, Aaron, and Christian for all you do for our patients!

October is National Physical Therapy Month!   Physical Therapists (PTs) and Physical Therapist Assistants (PTAs) are the movement experts in the rehab world. PTs and PTAs can be found in hospitals, rehabilitation facilities, schools, outpatient facilities, professional sports teams and more. A Physical Therapist’s job ranges from helping patients who have had a significant injury, illness, or surgery get back to doing their daily tasks to getting professional athletes back to the highest level of competition. PTs and PTAs can often be found telling their patients they have “just 2 more reps” because they can’t count either. 😊   We are lucky to have 16 great Physical Therapists and Physical Therapist Assistants who work with us here at Bone & Joint. Some of them are doing their favorite PT exercise or enjoying their favorite activity outside of work in the attached image. Next time you see them, wish them a Happy Physical Therapy Month!
