Our sock donations extend beyond just individuals – they also resonate through the communities we serve. We partner with various organizations, including shelters, youth programs, disaster relief efforts, and those focused on helping adults transition back into society after hardships. We foster a sense of unity and collaboration through these connections. This allows us to create a network of support that helps us to address broader challenges and make lasting change.

One of the great things about working for Microsoft is the culture of giving. During the month of October we shine the spotlight on our #GIVE program and volunteer in our communities across the globe. Big thanks to Christopher Douglas and Kimberly Ha for getting the Louisiana team together to support Bonfolk. For every pair of socks purchased, another pair is donated.
Our big sister company, Bonfolk, recently partnered with the New Orleans Museum of Art for a special sock collaboration! Through this partnership, NOMA chose House of Tulip as the recipient of the donation socks. We’re thrilled to share that BGG was able to donate 800 pairs of socks to House of Tulip, which were picked up this past week! House of Tulip (Trans United Leading Intersectional Progress) is doing incredible work in our community by providing zero-barrier housing, case management, linkage to care, and community programming to trans and gender nonconformity people in need of a safe place to stay, while growing the supply of affordable housing in New Orleans. We feel incredibly fortunate to collaborate with such impactful organizations and look forward to many more meaningful partnerships in the future.
This week, we're excited to be shipping a box of our socks to the Boys & Girls Club of Hobbs, New Mexico! The Boys & Girls Club of Hobbs plays a crucial role in providing a safe and supportive environment for youth, especially those who may lack a stable home life. Their partnership with nonprofits like ours helps ensure that every student receives the care they need. Our socks will be distributed to children through their partner, the Weekend Hunger Initiative—a local backpack program focused on meeting the nutritional needs of kids over the weekends. Together, they are making a significant impact in the Hobbs community. At Bonfolk Giving Good, we're proud that our socks can contribute to such meaningful initiatives across the nation. We are grateful for the opportunity to collaborate with outstanding nonprofits like Boys & Girls Club of Hobbs.
It's back-to-school season, and Bonfolk Giving Good partnered with a local nonprofit, Love Your Neighbor NOLA, for an impactful day of giving back to kids in the New Orleans area. Earlier this year, Nadia and her husband from Love Your Neighbor NOLA became one of our nonprofit partners. Love Your Neighbor NOLA's main mission is to disrupt the cycle of community violence and trauma by being catalysts for family-centered change. They do a great job of this by providing basic necessities, education, and resources to the New Orleans communities. Did you know our Director of Operations, Kimberly Ha, played a crucial role at Bonfolk before transitioning into her current nonprofit position? Tim and Janna Hart Black recognized her potential and invited her to be the Donation Coordinator of Bonfolk. Over the past three years, Kim has significantly expanded our nonprofit partnerships, organized impactful events, and much more. When Bonfolk Giving Good became a nonprofit, Janna had no doubt that Kim was the perfect choice to help lead it. Kim's passion for Bonfolk and BGG's mission is evident in her dedication to finding new nonprofits in need of our socks.
