We have some cognac, and some Calvados. We've also got some triple sec, lemon juice, simple syrup, and a lemon twist. Topped with a beautiful neon yellow sugar rim. #VirtualBookTour #Podcast

A century-ish of the best new fiction.
About us
Our mission is to bring the best new fiction forward. Celebrating and championing emerging authors and the distinctively fresh work they are uniquely capable of writing. Providing our readers with books they might not have found elsewhere. Since our founding in 1926, we’ve chosen many unknown books that later became iconic works of American fiction. Want to join the club? We’re always looking to hire new teammates, so check out our job posting.

Chelsea Bieker loves shakes: both the somatic therapy kind, and the kind you get at Erewhorn in Beverly Hills. Learn more about shakes and her new book “MADWOMAN” by listening to our full conversation with Chelsea for free in the Book of the Month app. Thank you to Genevieve Hudson, Kimberly King Parsons, Allie Rowbottom, Katherine Akey, Nancy Wiese, Marieska Luzada, and Liv Ryan for joining us. The “MADWOMAN” mocktail: 3 ounces of Clean Co Clean V (an apple vodka alternative), 1.5 ounces of concord grape juice, 1/4th ounce of fresh lime juice, a splash of Ginger ale, and a lime wedge for garnishing. A drink that focuses on the nostalgic sweetness of grape juice, but with an edge. #VirtualBookTour #Podcast

Kimberly McCreight stopped by last week for a vent sesh about trust issues, living in NYC, and leaning on her detective friends for fashion advice. And, of course, a couple “Like Mother, Like Daughter” themed cocktails – one ounce Appleton Reserve rum, one ounce Ancho Reyes chile liqueur, lime juice, simple syrup, plus a lime wheel and a few dashes of ancho powder to garnish. A drink with lots of surprises, but one that leaves you extremely satisfied by the finish – just like Kimberly’s book. Listen to the full conversation with Kimberly for free in the Book of the Month app.

If you ever get into a conversation about books and reading with me, I will inevitably bring up Book of the Month Club. I can't say enough good things about them - I have discovered many new authors, widened the genres I read, and have even gifted the subscriptions to others. I highly recommend them if you want to fall in love with reading again or for the first time 💙
We recently refreshed our brand to better match our vision to inspire and shape a more curious and thoughtful culture. We really hope you like it. It was such a pleasure to work with Creech on this project and we couldn't be happier with the end result. Here's to the months ahead. Fiction, forward.
