⚡️ Investment Announcement: rpv partners with studio 3e8 to Revolutionize Metal 3D Printing ⚡️ San Francisco, CA – We are excited to announce that rpv has made a strategic investment in studio 3e8 , a company that is transforming the future of manufacturing. With innovative technology that enables 3D metal printing 100 times more affordably than industry incumbents, studio 3e8 will set a new standard in industrial production. This investment, made alongside Boost VC, Blue Collective, and Draper Associates marks a critical moment in the 3D printing sector — where scientific rigor meets entrepreneurial ambition. “At rpv, we invest in companies that align with our belief in scientific innovation as a force against entropy. We are confident in studio 3e8’s ability to reshape the manufacturing industry, delivering both affordable solutions and unmatched quality.” said Arkady Kulik. “We believe that Casey Johnson and Cassie Lowell have the talent and resilience to reshape the manufacturing landscape.” Casey Johnson, co-founder and CEO of studio 3e8, shared his enthusiasm: “From our first conversation with rpv, we were impressed with the deep technological basis and rigorous approach to understanding the problem we were solving. Even before committing to invest, rpv pointed us to contacts across their network - founders, advisors, and potential customers. The value add was immense, and at the time we were still just a potential deal. The folks at rpv are our first text at pivotal moments - an incredible sounding board, full of patience and wisdom. We are confident that this relationship will continue to be one of our most impactful, even as studio 3e8 scales and grows far into the future.” Why We Invested in studio 3e8 👨🏻💻 Founder-Market Fit: studio 3e8’s leadership team brings deep industry knowledge and an unwavering passion for driving down costs in metal 3D printing. 🕰️ Perfect Timing: With the initial hype around 3D printing receding, the sector is stabilizing, presenting an ideal opportunity for sustainable growth. ⚙️ Breakthrough Technology: studio 3e8’s innovative approach—validated by industry operators and academic experts—enables metal printing that is both cost-effective and safe, outperforming the competition by a significant margin. This funding will empower studio 3e8 to accelerate product development, expand customer acquisition, and further democratize access to advanced manufacturing. Together, we are taking a bold step toward the future of accessible, scalable production. 🚀

🌊 At Boost VC, we love diving into the wonders of deep tech and science, and this recent article from Ars Technica really caught our attention! 🧬✨ 🔍 Did you know that injured comb jellies (ctenophores) can fuse with their neighbors at wound sites, creating a single organism with duplicate parts? This discovery opens up new questions about how these creatures heal and adapt. https://lnkd.in/g6bkqJCs What's catching your eye in biotech these days?
