AI was the topic of all the discussions at ADWEEK’s Mediaweek 2024 conference. And the funny part, nobody has the answer to AI strategy. What I did learn is the discussions we need to be having around AI, the successful use cases agencies and brands can utilize the technology today, and the indisputable need for human oversight. There were several other interesting and entertaining discussions, and one I found the most insightful was around the role of the chief media officer. As a full service ad agency, BPN’s ability to integrate strategy, creative and media has always been key for our client’s success. So the comment from Shenan Reed, Global Chief Media Officer at GM, stating that media can get a brand in front of the right person at the right time, but if you don’t have the right creative all is lost really resonated with me.
