We are thrilled to announce that we have reached a significant milestone by completing 30% of the preliminary design for two groundbreaking pedestrian bridges over the San Gabriel River in Georgetown, TX. These inverted Fink curved truss bridges, the first of their kind in the United States, are poised to revolutionize pedestrian and bicycle access to the heart of the city. Designed to offer a blend of functionality and aesthetics, these bridges will feature overlooks, seating areas, and captivating views of the river and nearby parks, notably Blue Hole Park. Serving as a distinctive entry point into the city, they will be prominent landmarks visible from afar, adding to the city's allure. This accomplishment was made achievable through a fruitful collaboration with Freese and Nichols, ensuring the design phase prioritized visual excellence. With construction scheduled to commence in 2025, supported by the City of Georgetown, we eagerly anticipate the realization of these unique and visually stunning bridges. They are set to elevate the experiences of both locals and visitors alike, embodying innovation and enhancing connectivity. #bridges, #innovation, #visual, #river, #engineering, #architecture, #landscape, #Georgetown, #structure, #art, #truss, #curvature, #iconic, #walking, #pedestrian, #bicycle, #infrastructure, #design, #seating, #parks, #steel, #quality, #construction
