Changing the way America cares for children and families.
About us
Father Flanagan’s Boys’ Home (also known as “Boys Town”) was founded in 1917 as an orphanage, but has evolved over the past one hundred years into a national leader in the care and treatment of children. As one of the largest nonprofit, nonsectarian child and family service organizations in the United States, Boys Town offers a broad spectrum of services through its Continuum of Care. Boys Town youth, family, community, and health care programs touch the lives of more than 2 million people across the country every year. Guided by our mission, “Changing the way America cares for children and families,” Boys Town programs focus on saving children and healing families. Boys Town Nevada has been saving children and healing families in Southern Nevada since 1991. Our specialty is working with the whole family – preventing and treating behavioral problems in children while also providing research-based parenting skills to caregivers. Since 2017, the Behavioral Health Clinic has provided individual therapy, family therapy, and psychological evaluations. We collaborate in the community as well, partnering with schools, pediatricians, and other nonprofits to build sustainable support networks for families in need. Parents, teachers, and behavioral health professionals all working in concert – that is how we change the life of a child.

So grateful to First Lady Lombardo for the invitation to discuss mental health and family wellbeing! #KidsFirst #NVMeansHome
What a thoughtful and intentional Inaugural Charity Networking Luncheon that First Lady Donna Lombardo hosted at the Governors Mansion last Friday! The attention to all the details, ensuring that everyone in the room had time to connect with organizations and foundations that matched their vision, was amazing! Great to see NV Energy, Microsoft, MGM Resorts International, Ultimate Fighting Championship, Brownstein Hyatt Farber Schreck among many others in attendance! Truly an honor to have Dana Roseman and Jane Jensen Saint there with me to represent the 8,000+ kids and families we serve as well as the 130+ employees of Boys Town Nevada!!

What a story! In Home Family Consultant, Dezarae Lloyd and the Pittman Family joined us at our Board of Directors meeting to share their success story! Mr. and Mrs. Pittman came into Boys Town Nevada Services as Foster Parents. They were considering removing the boys from their home due to their struggles with aggression, tantrums, and defiance. During services, Mrs. Pittman learned parenting skills such as providing effective praise, utilizing preventive teaching, and describing behaviors. Mrs. Pittman expressed the amazing impact the skills had on the boys' behaviors. Shortly after successfully completing services, the Pittman's adopted their two boys on January 4, 2024!
