This year we have been able to add something new to our mental health and advocacy services at the center - Calm & Care Bags! These bags were graciously sponsored by two wonderful organizations. For our Cambridge office, the bags were sponsored by Geneseo Kiwanis Club and for Princeton, they were sponsored by Starved Rock Country Community Foundation. We are beyond excited to have this resource for those suffering from trauma and needing help to get extra relaxation and sleep. We are also extremely grateful to have incredible organizations help our non-profit with accessibility for mental health resources to our families!

Our non-profit annually provides Christmas gifts to the children and families we serve. This year, help us give these kids a reason to smile and forget about their trauma, even if just for a moment. At Braveheart, our Multidisciplinary Team goes above and beyond to make children feel safe and comfortable. Recently, Detective Adam Hull from Colona PD and Braveheart Lead Advocate Danielle took time to do some rock painting with a child who was feeling nervous before their interview. Small moments like these help build trust and make a big difference in helping kids open up. We’re so proud of our team for creating a supportive environment where children can feel understood and cared for.
