We pray for the people in North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, Florida, Tennessee, and Virginia, who are facing the devastation of Hurricane Helene. We pray for those who have lost loved ones, for those waiting for help, and for those who have lost everything. We pray for those in need of food, water, shelter, clothing, and medical care, knowing that disasters like this put so many at risk of severe hunger and malnutrition. We lift up those impacted, asking that they find hope, peace, and comfort through response teams, neighbors, and community leaders. May they find refuge in You, O God.

As we celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month, it's crucial to recognize the significant contributions of Latinos(as) in the U.S. economy, totaling $3.2 trillion. Yet, food insecurity remains a pressing issue, with 20% of Latino(a) households unsure of their next meal.
