These 3 picnic tables were made available to Breakthrough Charter School playground with a grant from Alabama RC & D Council that was written by Teresa Edwards. We want to say a HUGE thank you to Marie Lowder, Brett Harrison and many others that are active part of this wonderful group. These tables along with a trash can will benefit many children for years to come. We love our community! 🧺

Comics are an excellent way to encourage your children to read! 💥🗯️📖📚 On average, comic books contain 53.5 rare words per thousand, compared to 30.9 in children's books, 52.7 in adult books, 28.4 in expert witness testimony, and just 17.3 in conversations among college graduates with friends (University of Oregon Center on Teaching and Learning). This conference a week-long, in-person event which provides attendees with opportunities to engage in meaningful discussions, participate in in-depth training sessions, and learn from leading experts across the education spectrum.

Please see an announcement below for Fall 2024 and Spring 2025 Dual Enrollment Registration at Wallace Community College Selma. Fall 2024 and Spring 2025 registration will begin on Monday, July 8th. Classes and book costs will be covered until the open enrollment funds have been exhausted, so apply as soon as possible. For the Fall 2024 Semester all dual enrollment paperwork, online admissions applications (it takes 24-48 hours for the Admissions Office to process online applications), testing, etc. must be completed by Wednesday, August 14th at 3:30 pm. The fall semester begins on Monday, August 26th. For the Spring 2025 Semester all dual enrollment paperwork, online admissions applications (it takes 24-48 hours for the Admissions Office to process online applications), testing, etc. must be completed by Wednesday, January 8th at 3:30 pm.
