We are excited to introduce our new Marketing and Events Coordinator, Taylor Borst! Taylor hails from beautiful Morrison, Colorado and has a rich background in the ski industry, having worked at several Colorado ski resorts while pursuing her bachelor’s degree in Communication at the University of Colorado Boulder. Following her graduation, Taylor made the transition to Summit County and became an integral part of the marketing team at Arapahoe Basin. Her love for snowboarding, backpacking, and travel has taken her to various corners of the globe, including Florence, Italy, Sydney, Australia, and Bangkok, Thailand. She has always believed in the healing and therapeutic advantages of recreation and is eager to contribute to BOEC and the community. #newhire #boecadaptive #eventscoordinator #employeespotlight

Our summer in the Rocky Mountains may be short, but we enjoy it to the fullest whether on the rivers, the bike paths, or on the ropes course! This is how one participant described their experience this summer at a BOEC led Brain Injury Alliance of Colorado retreat, “I’m utterly amazed of the adaptations that the BOEC offers to the campers to participate in every activity. We are so glad to welcome former New York native, Yuri Czmola (YOO-ree ch-moh-lah) to the BOEC as Assistant Ski Program Director. With a solid background in adaptive sports instruction and program management, Yuri is set to empower individuals through engaging outdoor activities. From academy coaching to nonprofit development, Yuri has developed ski school staff training, comprehensive digital marketing strategies, and event logistics. He has worked with various organizations across the nation, including Mount Snow and Vail Adaptive, teaching students and instructors from all walks of life. As an educational staff member at PSIA/AASI, Yuri contributes to curriculum development and clinics. His experience managing major events, like the New York Marathon production, showcases his attention to detail and ability to thrive during peak times. In his new role, Yuri will focus on improving day-to-day logistics, staff training, and supporting Program Director Jeff. His keen attention to detail and advanced coaching skills will enhance the experience for individuals with disabilities, enabling instructors to provide better lessons and build student identities as skiers and riders. With a strong passion for diversity, accessibility, and inclusivity, Yuri is dedicated to championing equal participation opportunities for all individuals. #employeeintroduction #boecadaptive #adaptivesports #accessibility
