Over the last few weekends my son and I (mostly him even though it was my gift!) have built this amazing Lego Himeji Castle that we borrowed from a fantastic UK company called Brick Borrow. We borrow a set, build it, then take it apart and send it back before borrowing another set. It’s a great idea as, quite frankly, we have MORE than enough Lego in our house already!
I recently spoke to a teacher who told me that she loves it when she has kids in her class who enjoy Lego because it teaches them problem solving, patience and following instructions as well as building up finger strength and fine motor skills in younger children which helps with things like writing!
I love the time it gives me with my children where we quietly build together while chatting and listening to music.
It's also great for mental health as it's a calming (usually!) activity which uses both hands independently and apparently that helps to still your mind when it's in over drive.
Sometimes the benefits of a product or service go beyond the obvious.
So if you haven’t thought of a Lego subscription before I highly recommend Brick Borrow!
