  • "How much will this cost?” It’s one of the first questions nonprofit leaders ask—and one of the hardest to navigate. At Brico Works, we understand the barriers leaders face when deciding to invest in consulting or professional development: 💸 Budgets are tight, and it’s hard to know if you have the resources. ❓ Conversations with leadership or the board can feel like a balancing act. ⏳ Timing is always tricky—especially during budget season. We’ve been there. That’s why we believe in transparency and clarity when it comes to pricing. Whether you’re looking to tackle a strategic project, invest in professional growth, or plan a transformational retreat, we want to make it easier for you to start the conversation—without the guesswork or stress. To help, we’ve written “Why Investing in Brico Works Pays Off: A 2025 Budget Guide.” https://lnkd.in/g-vRvi_x In it, you’ll find: ✔️ Clear cost ranges for our services, from workshops to custom consulting. ✔️ A breakdown of how we support nonprofit leaders in creating impact. ✔️ Insight into how thoughtful investments can build alignment, clarity, and momentum for your team. If you’re navigating last-minute budget decisions or looking to lay the groundwork for meaningful growth in 2025, give it a read. We’re here to make this process easier—and to partner with you in making your big ideas happen.

  • 💡 Reflection is more than looking back—it’s about clearing space for what’s next. At Brico Works, we believe reflection is a superpower for leaders, teams, and organizations. It’s like mental housekeeping—clearing the clutter, making sense of experiences, and turning insights into action. Inspired by Dumbledore’s pensieve in Harry Potter and, yes, my own bread-baking habit, our latest blog explores how reflection can transform your leadership. In this post, you’ll discover: ✨ How to create a reflection practice that sticks ✨ Tools to turn reflection into action (for yourself and your team) ✨ A free downloadable guide for resilience and care, designed especially for nonprofit leaders Ready to clear the clutter and find clarity? I’m excited to share that I’ll be presenting at the Minnesota Council of Nonprofits training: Effective and Healthy Leadership in the New Year on December 18! Being part of this lineup with some of MCN’s highest-rated trainers from the past year is an honor, and I’m grateful for the chance to connect with other dedicated leaders in the nonprofit space. As we gear up for 2025, this full-day virtual training will offer practical tools and insights to support resilient, purpose-driven leadership. With sessions covering essential topics—like communication, financial management, well-being, and strategic impact—our goal is to help leaders build environments where both they and their teams can thrive sustainably. 🎯 My Session: From Theory of Change to a Practice of Change (2:30-3:45 PM CT) In my session, we’ll explore how to move beyond theory and make change an intentional, daily practice that drives real outcomes. I’ll be sharing tools and exercises to help leaders reframe their work from tasks and outputs to true, measurable impact. My hope is to support others in transforming theory into a habit of change that brings powerful results for their teams and communities. Key Takeaways for the Day: 💡 Communicate with clarity, empathy, and courage 💡 Strengthen financial strategies for smooth transitions 💡 Apply holistic leadership practices for well-being 💡 Reframe from outputs to outcomes for lasting change It would be a privilege to learn alongside many of you as we kick off the New Year with renewed purpose and vision. If you need some hope to kick off your week, I'll share a little bit of mine. Last week, I watched multiple groups of incredible humans fill the new space at Brico Works with the kind of energy that changes everything. They showed up ready to be real, to care deeply for themselves and each other, to build the kind of trust that transforms lives. In times that feel heavy, these folks showed me what courage looks like: being brave enough to show up fully and lift each other up. That's the kind of hope that sticks with you. Want to be part of this community? Join our mailing list at www.brico.works/contact-us ✨ Thank you Carly Viegut, Beth Burt, Michelle Wall, Shawna Weaver, Emma Pardini, Alivia Nelson, Megan Bremmon, Amanda Vuicich, Molly Williams, Sonali Bhikha, Amber M. Lewis, Amber Sadowski , Heather N. Wilde, Suzanne Niemi, Jenna Kowaleski and Faith Wickenhauser for spending time with me and this amazing community.

I can’t believe it’s almost here—next Tuesday (11/12), I’ll be hosting my first workshop as part of this new journey with Brico Works. After ten months of wearing all the hats (program designer, content creator, marketer, bookkeeper, and hype woman!), I’m feeling a mix of excitement and, honestly, a few nerves. The workshop, Pacing & Planning: An Adaptive Approach to 2025, is all about making time to think ahead. I know firsthand how hard it can be to plan for the future when there’s so much happening right now. But I truly believe that creating even a little intentional space to look forward can change everything. This session is designed to help leaders carve out that space, with tools to make planning both doable and flexible. So, whether you need a big-picture roadmap for 2025, a social media plan for the quarter, or just a simple framework to help organize priorities, this session is for you. We’ll keep it interactive, practical, and geared toward giving you confidence in the year ahead. If you’re ready to bring a little more clarity and focus to 2025, I’d love to see you there. 👉 Pacing & Planning: An Adaptive Approach to 2025 🗓️ Tuesday, November 12 🕦 11:30 AM - 1:00 PM 💵 $30 (Lunch included!) https://lnkd.in/gi_C9jKb Let’s make this time count, build some new strategies, and set ourselves up for a great year ahead.
