That’s a wrap on our 5th Summer Academy! We are all headed home with new friends, new experiences, and new ideas for our futures. We are so thankful for the opportunity to give our student-athletes this time together and we cannot wait for next year. Big shoutout to all our campers, staff and coaches, and to each and every donor that supported us. Thank you to our partners and friends in Houston and Chicago for entrusting us with your student-athletes. We want to send a special thank you to the Kate Risley Foundation, Stephen D. Summer Academy is coming to a close and we are in the last full day of camp before more than 60 kids make their way back home to Dallas, Austin, Houston and Chicago. This campus has provided us with an amazing space to teach and instruct, and we are thankful for the opportunity to work with incredible kids. Greetings from Summer Academy in San Marcos, Texas and the beautiful campus of Texas State University! This is our 5th Summer Academy and we felt it was time to make some updates and improvements to camp. For 2024, we chose a new college campus to host our first-ever all high school camp and made some big changes to the schedule. Every event and activity throughout the 6-days is intentional and purposeful, and our ultimate goal is that every student-athlete improves on the field and has a greater understanding to college success. It’s finally here, Summer Academy 2024, and we are excited for an all new campus, new vibes and new look. Student-athletes from Dallas, Austin, Houston and Chicago are all headed to San Marcos, Texas and Texas State University. Family Friday | Our career exploration events have been incredible and in-depth experiences for our student-athletes and alumni. Today, we spent time getting to know some amazing young attorneys at Holland & Knight. We want to thank our board member, Robert Jones, for introducing us to Sanaa, Chloe and Tricia, and giving us a great opportunity to learn more about their firm and the journey in becoming a lawyer. #bridgefamily #bridgefamilia

Family Friday | The origins of Bridge can be traced back more than 20 years ago to St. Philip's School and Community Center, one of our long standing partners. Many of those first student-athletes and Saints can still be found at home within our Bridge Family as alumni. Summer Academy is around the corner and we are excited to announce that, this year, we’ll be headed to San Marcos and the campus of Texas State University. We are excited to host Summer Academy as an all-high school camp with student-athletes from four cities; Dallas, Austin, Houston & Chicago. We are ready for a new adventure, a new look and a new feel for this year’s camp. For summer 2024, our camp logo helps us represent our new campus and the Texas State mascot, the Bobcat. Family Friday | It’s the return of our college campus visit programming and we’re down in Austin with student-athletes from both Bridge Austin and Bridge Dallas. Our first stop, the University of Texas🤘and a guided tour through the campus. Then, we headed over to St. Edward’s University 🐐 to visit Coach Ashley’s old stomping ground and hear from the admissions office. It’s been a great day of learning and a lot of walking.
