Brightspeed reposted this
Spent the past three days discussing some of the most critical issues facing our industry at a terrific conference hosted by Jonathan Spalter and the outstanding team at USTelecom | The Broadband Association. It was a pleasure to join Brightspeed CEO Tom Maguire and CLO Steve Tugentman, and the truly outstanding group of telecom professionals who make up the USTelecom membership. An honor and privilege to join you all in Park City, UT. Harold Zeitz Byron Springer and so many more.
We heard some much-needed straight talk from America’s #broadband leaders yesterday at the #USTelecom Leadership Summit about what it will take to fully connect our nation: 1. Modernize our networks now/speed-up copper retirement 2. Big Tech must come to the Universal Service contributions table. 3. Get the BEAD program right or risk limiting participation by the experienced providers we will need most. A big thank you to these CEOs who put it all out there in Park City: John Stankey, AT&T Tom Maguire, Brightspeed Bob Udell, Consolidated Communications Nick Jeffery, Frontier Internet Paul Sunu, Windstream Harold Zeitz, Ziply Fiber
