Since many of us are taking a couple of days off for the holiday, I thought I'd post about something more personal. My Dad was born on July 5th. He always used to tell us that his mom got so excited from the fireworks, that he just wanted to come out and see what it was all about! My Dad was the baby of 14 kids! And these kids all had about 5-6 kids themselves. So it was always a big and fun time being with family - all of my cousins and the crazy stuff we got up to! I remember epic volleyball matches and softball games! And camping trips and swimming and fishing. And the food! My Dad was Croatian and we had the best food my aunts could make. My favorite was stuffed cabbage rolls. My Dad lived life on his own terms. I admired this about him. I recently did a 3-hour zip line course in The Great Smoky Mountains of NC. At each platform, I stopped to bow and honor my Dad by telling him what he meant to me. It was exhilarating. It was deeply moving for me. Here's to family and friends and fun! #Food #July5th #Croatia #ZipLining

𝐆𝐞𝐭 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐬𝐞𝐥𝐟 𝐭𝐨 𝐚 𝐑𝐨𝐩𝐞𝐬 𝐂𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐬𝐞!! 💥 I had 2 experiences on a ropes course in Northern California in the great redwoods. These 2 events were part of an extensive Leadership Program that I did over the course of 10 months. I knew it would be fun. But little did I know the impact it would have on me and my colleagues! Ropes courses offer a wide range of transformational benefits that can significantly impact personal growth, team dynamics, and leadership development.  𝐇𝐞𝐫𝐞'𝐬 𝐚𝐧 𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐢𝐞𝐰: 𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐁𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐟𝐢𝐭𝐬: Excellent for building trust and improving teamwork. You must trust your team to be skillful on belay to keep you up! And you each participate on belay. Belaying is a technique where a climber is secured by a rope, which is controlled by another person known as the belayer. Lasting bonds are created by overcoming challenges as a group and individually as the team cheers you on! 𝐂𝐨𝐠𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐁𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐟𝐢𝐭𝐬: You will boost problem-solving skills and critical thinking abilities. The various obstacles and challenges presented require one to think creatively and strategically, often under pressure. This enhances decision-making skills down the line in professional and personal settings. 𝐒𝐩𝐢𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐮𝐚𝐥 𝐁𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐟𝐢𝐭𝐬: The ropes course experience can be almost spiritual in nature. It is so much more than just a physical challenge. You will discover inner strengths you may not have been aware of - I saw this with many of my colleagues and myself! 𝐅𝐮𝐧 𝐅𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐨𝐫: It is exhilarating! I found myself smiling even in the rain! The camaraderie is amazing! 𝐋𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐩 𝐃𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐥𝐨𝐩𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭: These experiences help build self-confidence, decision-making skills, and the ability to guide and motivate others – all crucial qualities for effective leadership. 𝐄𝐦𝐩𝐥𝐨𝐲𝐞𝐞 𝐄𝐧𝐠𝐚𝐠𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭: For organizations, ropes courses can be a powerful tool for improving employee engagement. They offer a unique opportunity for team members to interact outside of the usual work environment, breaking down barriers and learning so much about your colleagues in a different way. This can lead to increased motivation, improved workplace relationships, and a more positive company culture. 𝐀𝐝𝐝𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐁𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐟𝐢𝐭𝐬: • Increased self-confidence and self-esteem • Enhanced ability to overcome fears and manage stress • Development of empathy and trust among team members • Lasting positive impacts on participants' outlook on life When one is ready to begin the climb, you announce: "Climbing." And your team enthusiastically says, "CLIMB ON!" I just cannot explain how much I loved this! ❤️ #ClimbOn #Leadership #RopesCourse #EmployeeEngagement

Leadership Coaching / Employee Development - I help high-achieving leaders identify and develop critical and strategic skills to drive peak performance, innovation, and growth through uniquely-tailored coaching programs.

Why successful Leaders meditate.   In my work with clients, we often develop a practice of meditation to enhance their capacities in the work we are doing in our leadership coaching.   My clients are always amazed to see how this foundation of awareness improves all areas of their personal and professional lives.   Henry Shukman is a Zen Master. His program called The Way is what I encourage my clients to try out.   From Henry:   A meditation training program The Way is for anyone who wants to explore the deeper side of meditation. It’s the only meditation app that provides a single, long-term and comprehensive path of practice, into the treasures of self-discovery, awakening and healing.     Why do we spend so much time focusing on awareness? In some ways, awareness is the key to the whole project of Awakening. Usually, we use the term to mean that something has registered in our conscious mind (for example “I was suddenly aware the phone was ringing”). However, there is a deeper meaning of awareness that we can try to recognize. It’s the canvas, the backdrop, the space in which all experiences arise. Sights, sounds, sensations, thoughts and feelings – all experiences are basically changes in the contents of awareness. But meanwhile, the nature of awareness itself does not change. In awakening, we can recognize that we are not actually the contents of awareness. Rather, we are in fact the broader context that awareness is. We are simply awareness itself. An open, boundless, center-less space in which all things arise. #TheWay #IntegralCoaching #LeadershipDevelopment #Meditation

How Integral Coaching is different.   “Integral” means inclusive of everything, entire, complete, whole.   It is a way of coaching that is whole, complete and integrated.   It includes frameworks and developmental principles based on globally recognized Integral Theory.   Here are some key differentiators:   We consider the individual's interior (subjective experience) and exterior (behavior) aspects, as well as the collective interior (culture) and exterior (systems) dimensions.   This holistic view enables coaches to address all facets of human experience.    We recognize that individuals develop across multiple lines (cognitive, emotional, moral, spiritual, etc.) at different rates.    We tailor our approach to meet clients where they are on each line, facilitating balanced growth.   We look at temporary states of consciousness (e.g., peak experiences) and personality types - Enneagram and Myers Briggs Type Indicator.    This nuanced understanding allows for more effective coaching.   Integral Coaching emphasizes embodied learning and practices, helping clients integrate insights for lasting transformation.   Unlike many coaching models, Integral Coaching is deeply rooted in a comprehensive theoretical framework (Integral Theory), providing a robust map for human development.   Integral Coaching views the client through an integral lens, considering multiple perspectives and seeking to harmonize and include diverse viewpoints, rather than only a single perspective.   My methodology offers a powerful and transformative approach to coaching, grounded in Integral Theory's comprehensive map of human development.   How does this help your organization?   You develop your employees in their core competencies. Are they good now? Yes, AND as we like to say "You are perfect the way you are…and you need a bit of work."    It will engage them in a new way. They will be inspired to give their best - every day.   And most importantly, you will gain new talent knowing they have this developmental process available to them. And, you will retain your current amazing talent.   If you seek lasting personal and professional growth, consider working with me as I guide you through this holistic and embodied journey of self-discovery and evolution.

YOUR CHOICE.   That’s the power you have.   I’m not talking about the kind of power we confuse with greatness, or wealth, or control, or ego.   I’m talking about the internal knowing that comes with making strong offers into the world, with being happy in advance, with choosing who and how you are in the world - regardless of circumstance.

Embodiment of Excellence Not perfection. Excellence is much greater. It allows for our struggles and failings. We see our path to victory in overcoming our challenges. We see our deep resilience and this bolsters us. We begin to see who we are. We embrace our Identity and what we are continuously becoming. Imagine Lisa from Marketing feeling unsure about her recent project. With personalized coaching, she gains the confidence to navigate challenges, leading to a sense of accomplishment. Happy and engaged employees like Lisa contribute more effectively, boosting her level of satisfaction and commitment to the company mission. Integral Coaching supports employees in numerous topics – such as communication skills, leadership development and interpersonal skills. Our Developmental Method enables one to get underneath a coaching topic to see how a client has been approaching that realm up until now. There are usually some fundamental ‘Ah Ha’ moments as the client realizes, “No wonder I haven’t been able to sustain the change I’d hoped for.” Our work enables the client to more effectively identify and work with long-standing patterns while building the ability to move in new directions. Both occur at the same time. The grip of a past way of being is loosened as it is more consciously worked with while simultaneously creating new ways of moving forward. I help individual employees directly. And I work with organizations to provide employee development.
