About us

Bristlecone Family Resources helps people overcome addictions. Alcohol, drugs, gambling, tobacco - it doesn't matter, we can help. Our experienced staff provides all levels of treatment to all kinds of individuals and their families suffering from the impacts of addiction. Addiction is a disease and as such, can be managed. Just as someone with diabetes must be vigilant in their habits to stay healthy, addicts too can learn the healthy habits necessary to manage their disease and live clean lives. We provide effective and affordable treatment and offer a comprehensive menu of services to fit any client's needs. Many of our adult clients have children. Because of that, Bristlecone is family-focused in assessing the needs of the client and their family to provide a customized treatment plan. Healthy parents can raise healthy children: a critical component in ending the cycle of addiction.

  • Meet our newest CADC, Pe'shance... I’m Pe'shance Reyes, a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor passionate about guiding individuals on their unique journeys toward healing and recovery. With a bachelor's degree in psychology, an emphasis in research, and a minor from the Center for the Application of Substance Abuse Technologies (CASAT), I bring a well-rounded approach to my practice. I’ve had the privilege of teaching Psychology 101 and working as a substance use counselor with diverse populations across various levels of care. My philosophy is rooted in compassion, harm reduction, and abstinence-based practices, and I help clients survive and thrive throughout their recovery process. When I'm not in the counseling room, you can catch me on the roller derby track as "Lydia Beatz" for our local Sierra Battle Born team. It’s a fantastic way to channel energy, build community, and have a lot of fun! I’m excited to partner with you on your journey and offer support and encouragement every step of the way. Welcome to the Bristlecone team!

As an organization providing addiction treatment services, we must talk about prevention. Let's reduce the stigma and talk about what prevention looks like in our own lives and those around us.
